Guide Dogs Round

Guide Dogs Round is an annual event for the football club and has been a major success in previous years as we open up our hearts and pockets to raise much needed funds for Guide Dogs Victoria. The money raised has contributed towards a range of services and support programs that empower Victorians with low vision. On the day 3 Spurs players are awarded a special Best on Ground award, the Guide Dogs Round trophy. We encourage everyone to come along and enjoy the special day for this worthy cause.

Sir Douglas Nicholls Round

Sir Douglas Nicholls Round is celebrated within the NFNL where each club contest on the day with an indigenous painted match ball. In recent seasons the Spurs took to donning a uniquely designed Indigenous Guernsey. Spurs premiership player Elise Muller and Diane Kerr Elder came together and put together something truly special for all of our players to wear. Through this event the Spurs aim to create awareness and celebrate the first nation people by inviting Indigenous artists, dancers and elders to come assist us in making this Indigenous football event a thriving one. The VU Western Spurs acknowledges the land the club is built on and pays respects to elders past and present.

Past Players, Family & Sponsors Day

The Spurs invite past players, sponsors and families to join us for our annual past players and sponsors day. This event is a great opportunity to get together with Spurs new and old and bring along all your little Spurs for a fun day. Whilst offering a great opportunity to mingle and network with club sponsors and player sponsors. Be sure to invite anyone who has ever worn the Spurs colours to come along, celebrate and watch some Spurs footy.
